Review: Public Events of AEMS and GBS 2024
The interdisciplinary summer universities "Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems (AEMS)" and "Green.Building.Solutions. (GBS)" were also cordially inviting the interested public to their events:
- The Grand Opening Event on "Building (for) the future" took place on 15 July 2024 at Kuppelsaal, TU Wien, with speakers Keywan Riahi, Doris Österreicher and Anika Dafert. The event welcomed 230 visitors in-person, as well as another more than 70 people joining online. Read more here. The recording is available to rewatch on Youtube.
- The AEMS Public Panel Discussion focused on the question "What are the leverages for a social-ecological transformation?". The event took place on 24 July 2024 with speakers Margit Schratzenstaller-Altzinger, Michaela Krömer, Helga Kromp-Kolb and Christian Felber, who spoke to an audience of 150 visitors.
- This year's AEMS Movie Night took place on 30 July 2024 at cinema Votivkino with a public screening of the movie "Outgrow the system" by Cecilia Paulsson & Anders Nilsson. The movie showcased transformative ideas to an audience of 75 visitors. Link to movie website
- The GBS Closing Ceremony welcomed about 75 people to this year's project presentations of the students and the following certificate cereomy at TUtheSky, TU Wien. Find out more in the GBS 2024 review!
